Heinous

Tragedies struck:
Japan (earthquake and tsunami of epic proportions)
Bronx (bus turns over with many fatalities)
Itamar (terror attack in Gush Etsion)

We read the news of Japan going into shabbat, and the boys tried to fathom the impact (and proximity) of such a natural disaster.

I saw the news of the Bronx bus and thought about the passengers - especially some that slept through the incident.

But the news from Itamar - was a whole different story!

The only thing that seems for sure is that we mustn't read these news stories, and go on to the next item in the business/tech/sports section.

A thought:
- Thank God for every breath - every day and every moment.
- Security is an illusion and "nature" is God's pen-name.  Let's open our eyes.
- Do something to support the Fogel family
Pray
Send condolences
Send money to Itamar to build something in their memory
Support another cause of your choise

and
- Raise a voice of moral conscience
Show the news to someone who needs to see it (a colleague, a friend...)
The barbarism in unthinkable and the world must wake up and realize (if they have not already) that the Arabs of the Middle East play by different rules.
God forbid we stoop to their levels, but the West must wake up - and deal with them according to their ways.
(Just think of this incident and all the civil unrest and violent attacks in recent peaceful demonstrations from Egypt to Bahrain!)
